My Beloved

So… Chris asked for a portrait for his birthday. A tall order since it is impossible to capture the effortless elegance and wide, warm smile of my beautiful husband. A Touch of Frost

I’m exploring the idea of landscape with different media. This time using pastel pencils. I’ve never found it easy to portray landscape with colour but the liquid amber tree in our garden is so gorgeous, I had to try.

Garden Homage

I have always been a keen gardener, and the view across and beyond out current garden is magical in all seasons and at all times of day.

September

Painting for me is all about recording life’s magic moments, like sharing a cup of tea in the garden with my daughter and dogs, talking about love, life and dahlias. This one was painted on a recycled canvas which makes for an interesting texture and a nice depth of paint.
